60 Minute Reiki Session- $45
Discounts available for Veterans and First Responders!
A description of what you can expect at your Reiki session can be found below.
What to expect during your first Reiki appointment:
We will spend some time talking before the actual Reiki session begins. We will address any issues (body, mind, spirit) that you may be having troubles with. Remember that Reiki should not be a substitute for traditional medical treatment. However, the relaxing benefits of Reiki pair well with any of the medical treatments your doctor has already prescribed to you.
During the Reiki treatment, you will lay fully clothed on a massage table. Your comfort is of the utmost importance, so pillows for your head and under your knees and a blanket/sheet to cover yourself will be offered. Soft music will be playing. Lights will be dimmed.
I will begin by moving my hand (4-6 inches above you) down the length of your body starting from the crown of your head and going to your feet. This is called a body scan. It will help me find any energy imbalances you may have that might require extra treatment.
I will then place my hands either on or above certain locations of your body. I will start at the crown of your head and move towards your feet giving Reiki to each position for 2-5 minutes. No private parts of your body will ever be touched.
After the session is complete, we will discuss how you felt during the treatment and talk about any sensations you may have experienced. Some clients experience heat, cold, or tingling in certain areas during a session. Some clients see flashes of color or light. Some clients giggle or cry. Some clients fall asleep— and that’s ok! Each experience is different depending on the client’s individual needs.
Always keep in mind that Reiki can do no harm and works for your highest good. Having said that, Reiki can be an emotional experience for some people.
Tips for your session:
-Allow extra time so we can talk before and after your session. A 30 minute session will likely be an hour long from start to finish.
-Arrive with an open mind.
-Relax!
-Wear comfortable clothes.
-Bring socks as you will be removing your shoes.
-Remove any dangling jewelry.
-Allow yourself time after the appointment to relax and reflect.
